25/SP Cognitive Behavioral Assmnt (PSY-710F-25SP2)
This course will provide students with comprehensive knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-specific self-report and structured interview tools used for assessing and monitoring anxiety, depression, and other common mental health disorders. Students will develop the ability to critically evaluate and select the most appropriate cognitive and behavioral assessment measures, considering psychometric properties, client-specific factors, clinical needs, and cultural contexts. Additionally, the course will focus on teaching students how to effectively integrate and present data and treatment recommendations within a CBT framework, utilizing a multicultural perspective to enhance client engagement and treatment outcomes. Attendance for one day at session is required.
