This is a survey-style course that introduces several aspects of organizational behavior (OB) and leadership. By the end of this course, you'll be able to identify OB concepts and apply OB theories and models to address organizational challenges, and help guide leaders to maximize organizational performance.
ODL505 – Organizational Consulting is intended to support professionals who want to serve in a consulting role within their organization or as an external OD & Leadership consultant. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to explore:
● Foundations of organizational consulting and the roles of internal and external consultants.
● Theories, frameworks, and applications of organizational consulting interventions at the organization level.
● Human capital consulting topics include organizational design, job design, process and workflow design, workforce analytics and planning, organizational culture & leadership, change management, and employee engagement.
● General business consulting topics include deploying agile frameworks, building technical competency models, acting with social responsibility, linking consulting solutions to business strategy, and consulting in sales, marketing, operations, risk management, non-profit and public sector organizations.
● Skills and knowledge needed for consultants to help solve human and organizational performance problems and address important change opportunities.
● Working in groups to develop and deploy diagnostic and/or dialogic skills, intervention plans and/or approaches, and a vast toolbox of specific intervention techniques, skills, and ways of being.
